SRINAGAR, Jan 22: Body of a General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) employee from Uttarakhand, who was buried under a huge rock due to rockslide in Ladakh was recovered, official sources said.

They said GREF employee Shamsher Singh son of Sairam resident of village Than P/o Tetri, Pehoragarh, Uttarakhand, died due to rockslide at Nilimoh Podum Nimoo Chadar road at Zanaskar in Ladakh on January 18.

The incident took place when GREF workers were busy constructing a road in the area.

Rescue operation was launched and the body was recovered today, they said, adding police has registered a case and initiated proceedings.
